Privacy notice
Last updated 10 October 2026
This notice explains what Goldhawk IT does with personal information collected through this website. It does not cover the client portal at support.goldhawkit.com, which has terms of its own for clients.
What we collect
When you send the contact form we receive what you type into it: your name, email address, and optionally your company and phone number, plus your message. With it we record the time it was sent and the internet (IP) address it came from, which we use to stop spam.
Like most websites, our server keeps a short technical log of requests (the page asked for, the time and the IP address) so we can keep the site running and secure.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and, if you ask us to, to prepare a proposal or quote. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- To protect the website and the form from abuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping our systems secure.
We do not use your details for marketing unless you ask us to, and we never sell them.
Who sees it
Your enquiry is delivered to our team by email. The services that host this website, carry our email and protect the site from attack (including Cloudflare) process data on our behalf under contract. We share information with others only if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to deal with your request and any work that follows. If no work follows, we delete them within 12 months. Server logs are kept only as long as we need them to run and secure the site.
Cookies
This website does not set cookies of its own and does not use analytics or advertising trackers. Cloudflare, which protects the site, may set a strictly necessary security cookie to tell people from bots.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it or stop using it. To do so, send us a message through the contact form and we will reply by email. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
